Import and Export Tax:

VAT tax:

According to the current VAT Law, Decree 123/2008/ND-CP dated December 8, 2008, Circular 129/2008/TT-BTC dated December 26, 2008 stipulate:

  • Goods that are exempt from import tax as stated in Section 2 are not subject to VAT.
  • The tax rate is 0% for goods exported abroad, construction and installation activities of export processing enterprises, except in cases where the exported products are unprocessed exploited mineral resources.
  • Tax rates of 5% and 10% apply to each specific industry in Circular 129/2008/TT-BTC dated December 26, 2008 of the Ministry of Finance.
